Our Crowdfunding Groups
Thank you for your interest in MCLA’s crowdfunding platform that helps to financially support student, faculty and staff projects. Crowdfunding is an online fundraising campaign in which a passionate group of project advocates, with assistance from the Office of Institutional Advancement, tell their story through word and video and then solicit online donations from a large group of contacts and alumni via email and social media. I can't afford to make a large gift. Will my donation really make a difference?
Yes! Every gift received helps to increase our donor participation rate, an important metric in determining the value of an MCLA education. In turn, higher donor participation rates aid in increasing our national ranking and help us stand out when large corporations and foundations look to invest in higher education. This is how a $10 gift to the college can help us to bring in millions more!

Is there a minimum donation amount?
Yes. The minimum donation amount for online gifts is $5.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Your gift is tax deductible, and you will be emailed a receipt for your donation that can be used for tax purposes.
What will my donation fund?
You decide, your gift can be as general or as targeted as you want. Gifts to our Annual Fund provide a lot of utility by allowing us to support the areas of campus with the greatest and most immediate need. Additionally, if you have a passion for scholarships, a department, or even a sports team, you can direct your gift to that specific area to make an immediate impact. Any and all support to the college is greatly appreciated!
Is it safe to make my gift online?
Yes! We do not store any of your credit card information. Additionally, the information collected when you make a donation is only used by MCLA. It will not be sold or shared with any third-party organizations.
I am getting an error making my donation, what do I do?
1. Make sure the contact information you are entering matches the information associated with your credit card.
2. Try donating on a different device such as a phone, tablet or computer.
3. Try donating with a different web browser.
